A Warm Beach Christmas in July? Well, not quite

Published 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 1, 2008

While Christmas itself may not come early this year, registration has opened for some holiday activities.

Forward-thinking families now can book an overnight getaway for December and buy tickets for Christmas theatre programs at Warm Beach Christian Camp in Stanwood.

Overnight getaways include a room in one of the camp’s holiday-themed lodges — the Kringle Kottage, for instance, or the Nutcracker Suite. Prices range from $114 for the least expensive room to $496 for the most expensive lodge.

A night’s stay includes a hot buffet breakfast and admission to the Lights of Christmas, a holiday destination billed as having 1 million Christmas lights, pony rides, shopping, Victorian-styled carolers and a Nativity scene.

Theatergoers can choose between either the dessert matinee or dinner performance of “A Christmas Circus.” Set in 1929, the play focuses on an Idaho town beat down by the stock market crash. No one feels like celebrating Christmas — and then the circus arrives in town.

Matinee tickets cost $28 per person, while dinner tickets are $46. Both include admission to the Lights of Christmas.

To register, call 800-228-6724, ext. 282, or for more information, go to www.warmbeach.com.
