NFL: Saints acquire Shockey from Giants

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints have acquired disgruntled New York Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey for two draft picks.

Saints spokesman Greg Bensel on confirmed the trade Monday. The Giants said they will get second- and fifth-round picks in the 2009 draft.

The deal must be approved by the league and is contingent on Shockey passing a physical.
