Mukilteo ferry run suspended for repairs

The Mukilteo-to-Clinton ferry run was temporarily suspended on Wednesday afternoon due to emergency repairs, according to the Washington State Ferry System.
The transfer span – or the hoist that lowers and raises the platform between the dock and the ferry – stopped working properly. The ferry system has called in a repair crew.
The route is expected to be out of service until at least 9:30 p.m.
In the meantime, the ferry is providing an alternate ferry service between Edmonds-Clinton. That’s an estimated 45 minute crossing. The Cathlamet has departed Clinton and will arrive in Edmonds at 5:45 p.m. The Kittitas will depart Clinton at 5:50 p.m. and arrive in Edmonds at 6:35 p.m.
Each boat will make a return trip to Clinton. Service on the Edmonds-Kingston run will continue but drivers should expect delays.
