LYNNWOOD – Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a Lynnwood woman they believe is missing.

Marciann Marie Velick, 42, was last seen by friends on Aug. 9 leaving her house in the 100 block of Poppy Road in unincorporated Lynnwood, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

There is no evidence of foul play but detectives are concerned for the woman’s health, she said.

Velick has gone missing before, Hover said. Her relatives told detectives she likes to visit Seattle’s University District and it’s possible she’s gone there.

The woman suffers from a medical condition and it appears she’s not taking the daily medication she needs, Hover said. The medicine bottles were found at her apartment.

Velick’s car was fund at Bill Pierre Ford, in the 11000 block of Lake City Way in Seattle where she works. Her coworkers don’t recall seeing her at work on Aug. 9, Hover said.

The car was parked behind the dealership and the woman’s purse was still in the car. The woman’s roommates have not heard from her and her belongings are still at her home.

She is described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall and about 120 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 425-388-3845 or 911.
