Let’s hit the polls! (updated)

OK, I got this new toy and I’m trying it out, so give it a spin so we can see if it works.

One other piece of news. The Western Major Junior Hockey Writers Association came out with its preseason poll. Everett finished 18th out of the WHL’s 22 teams, so there’s not a lot of belief out there in the Tips. Spokane, Kelowna and Lethbridge took the top three spots.

First, the poll. I have to say I’m surprised by the popularity level. I appreciate everyone’s participation, and I guess I’ll have to continue using this tool. I also have to say I think Dailey is getting the shaft. After all, he did tie for the team lead in scoring during the preseason.

Anyway, one important bit of news today. Daniel Bartek’s immigration paperwork was completed today. That means not only that the Czech left wing will be in the lineup for tomorrow’s season opener at Kamloops, he’ll also be able to get back into the U.S. for Saturday’s home opener against Vancouver.
