Tuesday notes

First off, I want to thank everyone who responded to my poll question. It appears people like both the polls and the reader questions, but with a general preference for the polls. So I’ll try and mix it up from week to week, but probably have polls more frequently. And for those who like more involved interaction, feel free to begin a discussion even under a poll, and I’ll join in as I can.

As for the Tips, just wanted to pass along that there’s nothing new regarding the return of either Kyle Beach or Taylor Ellington. Coach John Becanic figured each would probably get at least one NHL exhibition game and neither has appeared yet in the preseason, so the Tips aren’t banking on having either back this weekend.

Also, left wing Tyler Parker (ankle) is back practicing at full speed, so he should be available this weekend.
