MARYSVILLE — Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies Wednesday released a sketch of a man suspected of trying to lure two girls into his vehicle Saturday in Marysville.

The incident happened in the 5900 block of 100th Street NE. The girls reported that they were walking westbound along the street when a vehicle stopped behind them. A man inside rolled down the window and offered the girls cash if they would get inside.

The girls ran away, and the man drove off eastbound on 100th Street NE, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The man was driving a newer-model, red sport-utility vehicle.

The suspect was described as white, in his 20s to 30s, skinny and having short, spiky hair. He was clean-shaven and appeared to have a tan.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
