EVERETT — Firefighters rescued a man from the Snohomish river Saturday evening.

A passerby reported about 6 p.m. that a person was floating in the river across from the Langus Riverfront Park, Everett Fire Department Battalion Chief Steve Parker said.

The 32-year-old man was taken to the Colby campus of the Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. He didn’t suffer any significant injuries, Parker said. “It’s really amazing. He must have gone under water three different times,” he said.

Crew members reached the man with a private boat and pulled the man out of the water.

Parker said it’s unclear how the man ended up in the river.
