This week’s reader question/poll

It’s reached decision time for the Chicago Blackhawks and Kyle Beach. This week the Blackhawks must decide whether or not to sign the Silvertips winger, their first-round pick in this year’s NHL draft.

Beach has spent the entire preseason with Chicago, appearing in five of its eight exhibition contests. In those games he finished with one assist, a minus-2 rating and 14 penalty minutes (including a pair of fights with Minnesota defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron). He played an average of about nine minutes a night, which is typical fourth-line time in the NHL. The Blackhawks were 4-0-1-0 with Beach in the lineup, 1-1-1-0 without.

I want to know what you think is going to happen with Beach. I’m starting with a poll, but I purposely left the answers vague with plenty of wiggle room. What I want is for people to vote, then explain their theories in the comments section.

Oh, and I suggest acting quickly. Some sort of news regarding Beach’s situation is likely to break very soon.
