Everett Mountaineers offer outdoors classes

True or false: If snow comes pouring off a mountain right at you, it would be nice to know how to react.

With that in mind, the Everett Mountaineers will be rolling out its winter schedule of outdoor classes, which includes avalanche training.

Classes also focus on instruction in Nordic skiing, climbing, snowshoeing, scrambling and backcountry and ski mountaineering.

The group intends to show slide shows and videos about the courses at its membership meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the First Congregational Church, 2624 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
