Addendum

I see that in today’s paper the quick preview of tonight’s game was slashed. There was one important piece of information that was lost in the carnage. There are rumors that Calgary center Brett Sonne, who currently leads the league in scoring, is going to be held out tonight. Calgary’s had a busy schedule lately, just now finishing up its swing through the U.S. Division, and Sonne heads out for Team Canada’s selection camp for World Juniors tomorrow. The rumor was that rather than forcing him to play five road games in seven days, then try to muster up the energy to make Team Canada, he would take tonight off. Calgary’s still got plenty of offensive weapons, even if Sonne is out of the lineup. But if he indeed does end up scratched, it does tilt the balance of power a bit.
