LYNNWOOD — Detectives on Friday night arrested a man wanted by police for investigation of first-degree murder.
Agents from the U.S. Marshals Puget Sound Fugitive Task Force along with Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives located and arrested Carl Mattos about 8 p.m., Sheriff’s Lt. Rodney Rochon said.
Mattos, 47, is a suspect in the choking death of a Lynnwood man in 2006. Mattos was supposed to turn himself in to the police earlier this month but failed to surrender as arranged.
Mattos had an outstanding warrant for $1 million, Rochon said.
