EVERETT — Brittany Ruscha scored 20 of her game-high 34 points in the second half to lead Mariner to a 61-54 non-league win over Sedro-Woolley Tuesday at the Mariner High gym.

“The hoop was extremely big for her,” Mariner coach Corey Gibb said. “And she was in foul trouble, too. She probably only played 2 1/2 quarters.”

Mariner came from eight points behind to tie after three quarters and Ho’okena Varde made back-to-back 3s to start fourth.
