Monroe police on the hunt for car window smashers

Police are looking for vandals who have been breaking windows in cars throughout the city.

During the past two months, detectives received more than 30 reports of vehicles with windows damaged by a BB or pellet gun, Monroe Police Department spokeswoman Mindy Orcutt said.

The incidents have happened throughout the city, Orcutt said.

People should report immediately any suspicious behavior or vandalism by calling 911,

Detectives are asking anyone who can provide information to call the Monroe Police Department at 360-794-6300. Anonymous calls can be made to the department’s tip line at 360-863-4600.
