If you prefer a pretty pure form of bluegrass, you’ll be pleased to hear that Marley’s Ghost plays the classic stuff and is performing in Arlington this weekend.
They are strumming their strings at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Byrnes Performing Arts Center.
The four-man string band features four-part harmony by Jon Wilcox, Dan Wheetman, Mike Phelan and Ed Littlefield Jr., who readily moves between the Autoharp, bouzouki, fiddle, banjo and mandolin.
A more live-wire style of bluegrass is set for 7:30 p.m. March 21 at the Byrnes center when Rhonda Vincent &The Rage perform. Vincent has made music and videos with Dolly Parton, Keith Urban and Miley Cyrus.
Byrnes Performing Arts Center at Arlington High School is at 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. Tickets are $16.50 and $22.50.
Proceeds from both concerts benefit the Arlington Arts Council which is raising money for public art.
