Americans counter Ryan Murray

Gregg Drinnan of the Kamloops Daily News is reporting that Tri-City has added its own hotshot defensive prospect Zach Yuen to its roster. Yuen, who turned 16 on March 3, was Tri-City’s first-round pick in last year’s bantam draft. He played for the Greater Vancouver Canadians (the same team as Tips prospect Manraj Hayer), who were eliminated from the playoffs last weekend, thus freeing Yuen to join the Americans. He played in a game against Everett during the regular season and was reportedly very good, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a similar impact for Tri-City as Ryan Murray’s had for Everett.
