Airbus orders, deferrals and spying

Airbus booked 8 new net orders in the first quarter, the company reported Thursday.

But the European jet maker also may get a deferral request from Thai Airways for six A380 super jumbo jets in 2010, Reuters reported.

Airbus’ German unit also acknowledged last night that it spied on its workers in an anti-corruption effort, in this Associated Press story.
