Arlington: Egg hunt set for Saturday
The Easter Bunny is scheduled to make an appearance Saturday at the annual Easter egg hunt in Arlington.
The hunt is set to begin at 11 a.m. at 51st Avenue NE and 172nd Street NE at the south end of the Arlington Airport. Parents are asked to park in the grass.
Children up to age 12 should bring along their Easter baskets to gather the eggs. The bunny plans to pose for photos taken by parents.
The event is sponsored by the city of Arlington, Arlington United Church and Cascade Valley Hospital. Volunteers plan to serve hot chocolate and cookies.

Learn how to grow your own groceries
Snohomish County master gardener Bea Randall plans to talk about how to grow your own produce from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Hadley Hall community room at the Arlington Boys &Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE.
Topics to be covered in the free workshop are what a vegetable gardener needs to know for this month, growing plants from seeds, how to get transplants to grow successfully, ways to maximize the heat from the sun, how to deter pests, using raised beds, and tips on growing onions, potatoes and strawberries.

Camano: New trail blazed for learning
Born Learning Trails have been established throughout Island County, with one now up at the Camano Community and Senior Center, 606 Arrowhead Road.
Island County Public Health joined forces with Friends of Camano Island Parks and the community center to bring parents and toddlers the new walking trails.
Born Learning Trails encourages families to be active together while helping boost children’s language and literary skills.
Darrington: Taste of the market Saturday
The Darrington Open Air Market officially starts its new season on Memorial Day weekend, but you don’t have to wait until then to enjoy visiting market vendors.
Market participants plan to be at the Mansford Grange during the day Saturday. The grange is behind the IGA grocery store on Highway 530.

Marysville: Stuffed dogs comfort kids
The Marysville Fire District is collecting donations the rest of this month for its 10th annual Dalmatian Drive.
Money raised goes to buy stuffed Dalmatian puppies to be carried on all Marysville Fire District vehicles and given to children who have been traumatized by fire or other events.
A Dalmatian Drive Event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 25 at event partner Marysville Chiropractic, 1617 Grove St.
Marysville firefighters plan to be on hand, with food and other activities planned.

Mukilteo: Historical Society meets
The Mukilteo Historical Society’s monthly meeting is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln St. in Mukilteo. The speaker will be Mukilteo Historical Society member Christopher Summitt, whose topic will be “Is Mukilteo a Goose Neck?”
The meeting will be held in the Art Room, located in the basement of Rosehill.
The public is invited and refreshments will be served.
