Tough times for Qantas mean more jet deferrals for both Boeing and Airbus.

The Australian carrier said it expects earnings to drop 93 percent this year. Qantas plans to cut capacity as well as many as 1,750 jobs.

The carrier also will defer four Airbus A380s and 12 Boeing 737s. And Qantas is in discussions about its Boeing 787 deliveries.
