MONROE — A baby girl who was seriously burned in a fire Monday morning in Monroe remains in critical condition at a Seattle hospital this morning.
The girl’s mother reportedly rescued the girl, who is less than 2 months old, from a house fire in the 17100 block of Tester Road, officials said.
Investigators determined an overloaded power strip sparked the blaze that caused about $120,000 damage, deputy fire marshal Mike Makela said.
The baby was rushed to Valley General Hospital and then taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Her condition did not change overnight, hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hansen said. The infant remains in critical care in the intensive care unit.
