Prospect Dylan Smith to junior A?

I was surfing around and came across this newspaper article where Tips prospect Dylan Smith says he’s going to play for the Estevan Bruins of the junior A SJHL in the upcoming season. The 1992-born right wing, a Tips listed player who put up big numbers in the SMAAAHL last season, goes on to say he plans on seeking an NCAA scholarship.

This, combined with the fact that I haven’t heard Smith’s name mentioned much by the Tips, means we can probably strike him off the list of potential rookies for next season’s team. And as far as I know Smith has never actually been in Everett, so this can’t be seen as much of a surprise.
