EVERETT – A man stabbed this morning in South Everett has died from his wounds.
Detectives arrested the man’s girlfriend at a home in the 11500 block of Marino Avenue, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
Violence erupted just after 10 a.m. and 911 was called, Hover said.
The woman, 25, told emergency dispatchers a man had attacked her and she accidentally stabbed him. She was in police custody this afternoon and was expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
The victim, who police believe was in his 30s, was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he died, Hover said.
The couple have lived at the residence – a duplex in unincorporated Everett – for a couple of months. No one else was present at the time of the stabbing, officials said.
An autopsy will be conducted before the man’s identity is released by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office.
