EVERETT — An Everett man allegedly fired a revolver after a dispute with neighbors early Tuesday.
Police were called to the neighborhood in south Everett just after 12 a.m., according to a police affidavit filed Tuesday in Everett District Court.
A couple had tried to determine why a woman was screaming on their doorstep, the court paper said. The woman who was screaming allegedly threw a barbecue at the couple’s home and pushed them. A man in a neighboring home allegedly joined in the dispute, pointed a gun at the couple and fired a round. The couple told police they retreated into their home and feared for their lives.
The man who fired the weapon allegedly told officers he only fired the shot as a warning. No one was injured.
The woman, 22, was arrested for investigation of malicious mischief and assault.
The man who fired the shot, 24, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of two counts of first-degree assault.
