State Patrol trooper involved in three-car accident on I-5

EVERETT — A Washington State Patrol trooper is being investigated for his role in a three car pile-up on I-5 in Everett on Monday night.

Four people suffered minor injuries in the accident, which occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes in Everett, according to a State Patrol memo.

As traffic slowed, the trooper’s car apparently hit another vehicle, which then bumped into a third vehicle, according to the state patrol. One of the cars, a Nissan Versa, had to be towed away.
