Everett vs. Tri-City: lineup notes

Published 4:48 pm Sunday, December 27, 2009

EVERETT

Forward lines:

Maxwell-Froese-Tochkin

MacDonald-Langkow-Harper

Iwanski-Dailey-McCrea

Elynuik-McGrath-Abney

Defensive pairings:

Rissanen-de la Lande

Theriau-Kulchar

Bonar-Sohor

Starting goalie:

Heemskerk

Scratches: Gudas, Minville, Hunt, Winquist, Murray

Notes: Lots of shuffling around for Everett in the first game of the second half. On defense the top pairing of Radko Gudas (World Juniors) and Ryan Murray (U-17s) is unavailable, so Curtis Kulchar teams with Alex Theriau on a pairing that will see a lot of minutes, and Paul Bonar is thrown straight into the fire. On offense, Scott MacDonald returns to the line with Shane Harper and Chris Langkow, with Markus McCrea taking MacDonald’s vacated spot on the third line.

TRI-CITY

Forward lines:

Hughesman-Shinnimin-Lazo

Macek-Reddick-Messier

Prokop-Feser-Holland

Wilgosh-Drozd-Moser

Defensive pairings:

McIntosh-Toll

Mestery-Plouffe

Dow-Schmidt

Starting goalie:

Owsley

Scratches: Castro, Yuen, Kennedy, Sutherland, Martynuik.

Notes: Tri-City didn’t lose a single regular to international duty, so the Americans field a full-strength team. Center Sergei Drozd has returned after representing Belarus in the B pool for World Juniors. The Americans also introduce their new goaltender, Russian Alexander Pechurski, who starts the game on the bench.
