Navy Reserve Seaman Andre Loranc, son of Evangeline Loranc of Snohomish and Jean Loranc of Oak Harbor, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Loranc is a 2001 graduate of Monroe High School.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Kalen Peterson, son of Manon and Curt Peterson of Granite Falls, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Peterson is a 2008 graduate of Granite Falls High School.

Army Pfc. Tristan Segers has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Debra and Jeff Segers of Lake Stevens and is a 2002 graduate of Lake Stevens High School.

Army Pvt. Nathan Linder has graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The training consists of basic infantry training and advanced individual training. He is the son of Jackie Cameno and nephew of Richard Linder, both of Everett. Linder is a 2008 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
