Diane Jochimsen has received the 2009 Professional Service Award from the Financial Planning Association of Puget Sound. She is president of White Raven Financial Services in Arlington.
Brian Coker has been hired as a construction field inspector by HWA GeoSciences Inc. in Lynnwood. He has more than 11 years of experience in the construction industry. He inspects the placement of soils, concrete, asphalt, anchors and masonry for municipal, residential, commercial and light industrial projects.

Everett Area Chamber of Commerce President Louise Stanton-Masten will speak about the chamber’s recent trip to China and how Chinese trade affects Snohomish County at 7:30 a.m. Feb. 5 at Everett Community College. Stanton-Masten will lead a panel discussion about the trip, which included travel to Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. The presentation is in Whitehorse Hall, Room 105. Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington has received a national award for providing top quality health care at good value. Cleverley and Associates, a leading national health care consulting firm, recognized Cascade as one of the top 100 hospitals in the United States that are low-cost, use a strong financial position to reinvest in the facility and provide high quality care to patients. The hospital was also designated a “Five-Star” facility. Cascade Valley Hospital was one of only three hospitals in Washington to earn this award.
