If it swims, slithers or soars, chances are you can learn about it through an upcoming program in Everett.

The Adopt-A-Stream Foundation and Snohomish County Parks &Recreation have organized a new series of “Streamkeeper Academy” events.

The lectures, with slides, photos and live creatures, take place Tuesday through June 17 at McCollum Park’s Northwest Stream Center, 600 128th St. SE, Everett. They’re open to everyone from elementary students to adults.

Topics include “Wetland Wigglers,” “Bears,” “Slugs and Snails Leave Slimy Trails,” “Killer Whale Tales” and several “Native Plant Walks.” Each class costs $5 for Adopt-A-Stream members and $7 for nonmembers.

To register, call 425-316-8592 or e-mail aasf@streamkeeper.org. Full details are at www.streamkeeper.org.
