An economic task force composed of a spectrum of Snohomish County leaders begins meeting today with the goal of improving the local business climate and jobs outlook.
Members of the group hope by the end of the year to compile long-term solutions in a written report to the County Council. Working groups will be looking into aerospace clusters, bringing a four-year college to the county and agricultural issues, said Councilman Dave Somers, a co-chairman of the task force.
Councilman Brian Sullivan is the other co-chairman. Other task-force members include County Executive Aaron Reardon and tribal leaders, as well as representatives from business, organized labor and community colleges.
The meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on the first floor of the county administration building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
