BOTHELL — Dani Jackman did a little bit of everything for Jackson Tuesday in a Wesco South softball game.
Jackman struck out seven batters and added a two-run home run for the Timberwolves in a 13-1, six-inning win over Lynnwood at Lynnwood High School.
“Give them credit, they brought their bats tonight,” Lynnwood head coach Matt Rockne said.
Jackman finished with three RBI and Dewey Davis added a solo home run for undefeated Jackson (3-0 league, 5-0 overall) as Lynnwood (2-1, 3-2) failed to gain any sort of offensive momentum.
“They (Jackson) capitalized on walks and errors,” Rockne said.
Jackson scored 13 runs on 11 hits, while taking advantage of five Lynnwood miscues.
Junior Matti Tetzlaff had a triple for the Timberwolves.
Kelsey Parker, a Lynnwood junior, batted 2-for-2 with a double and freshman shortstop Sara Sohnly was 1-for-4 with the lone RBI for the Royals.
“We just couldn’t string hits together,” Rockne said.
Kelsie Mason took the loss on the mound for Lynnwood.
