Newsboys pack plenty of energy

The Newsboys, led by new frontman Michael Tait, will perform at Comcast Arena on Thursday.
The energetic band, fresh from a gig as headliner at Australia’s biggest Christian music festival, will preview its new album “Born Again,” due out in July.
The album includes new songs such as “I’ll Be,” “On Your Knees,” “One Shot” and “When The Boys Light Up,” as well as the hit cover track.
The band’s recent album, “Go,” debuted at No, 4 on the SoundScan Contemporary Album Chart and at No. 51 on the Billboard 200. The Newsboys have charted 25 No. 1 hits and sold more than 6 million records.
“Born Again” is Tait’s first release with the Newsboys. He was formerly lead singer with dc Talk.
The Newsboys perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at Comcast Arena at Everett, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.
