Shawn Gay, a Stanwood resident and Arlington chiropractor, was honored by the Washington State Chiropractic Association with its volunteer and distinguished service awards. Gay provides chiropractic care at Arlington Family Chiropractic, 20218 77th Ave. NE in Arlington.
New business
Moonlight Piano Services LLC plans a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at noon May 19 at the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce office, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Suite 205. Moonlight Piano Services tunes, cleans and repairs pianos. Owner Wilson Charles is a graduate of Emil Fries Piano Hospital and Training Center in Vancouver and has 15 years of musical experience.

Haggen Food &Pharmacy and TOP Food &Drug stores have introduced an antibacterial reusable shopping bag. It sells for $1.99.
Good deeds
Housing Hope recently received a $31,260 grant from Boeing employees for major improvements at Winters Creek Village South, a five-unit apartment complex in Sultan. The project is now completed. Winters Creek serves homeless and low-income families with children.
