HD radio still hasn’t caught on with listeners — perhaps because it’s actually neither high definition nor digital.

But The Buzz counsels patience. After all, if you drive a 1993 Chevy Lumina, you’re still waiting for the then-cutting-edge AM stereo radio to work.

Shine a light: Real estate columnist Steve Tytler fields a question from a person who bought a home after looking it over on a dark evening, and, upon moving in, was surprised to discover the walls were stained with residue from cigarette smoke.

We’re surprised to learn that people buy homes they’ve seen only in the dark, but we figure everyone who ever owned a Chevy Lumina bought it in the dark, too.

House of wax: A wax museum war is under way in Tinseltown, where Madame Tussaud’s has horned in on the Hollywood Wax Museum’s turf.

The museums’ game of one-upsmanship includes an argument over which has the Keanu Reeves wax figure that’s more lifelike than Keanu Reeves himself.
