Prep girls soccer: Shorewood 2, Mountlake Terrace 1

EDMONDS — Mountlake Terrace tied the game in the 10th minute on Erin Russell’s unassisted goal, but Shorewood’s Lisa Echert connected on a penalty kick in the 19th minute to take the lead and win the Wesco 3A game. Kelsey Johnson scored in the eighth minute unassisted for an early Shorewood (2-0 league, 2-1 overall) lead. Goalies in the game were Shorewood’s Kelsey Jang, and Mountlake Terrace’s (0-1, 0-2) Takara Mitsui.
