PAWS welcomes kids a day of fun

Dog and cat lovers, mark your calendars for a day of furry fun.

The Progressive Animal Welfare Society, or PAWS, campus at 15305 44th Ave. W. in Lynnwood invites youngsters to a Kids Workshop “Crazy About Cats and Canines” from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

The event will teach children about pet behavior and training and how to be responsible pet owners. Kids also can make dog and cat toys for the animals at Lynnwood PAWS.

Space is limited, but signups are still open. A $15 registration fee is required to cover the cost of materials. The workshop is intended for third- through sixth-graders.

Another workshop “Wild Wonders” which will focus on various wild animals, is planned for Oct. 24, and will be open to third- through fifth-graders.
