Tell us ‘Ways to Give’
Send us your Ways to Give: The Herald will publish its annual Ways to Give list Nov. 21 so readers know about charitable groups that need help.
Send the name of your organization; services you provide; hours and address; a phone number to be published and one for confirmation; and what items, services or volunteer help you need.
Submit information by Nov. 15 to Herald reporter Katya Yefimova, P.O. Box 930, Everett, WA 98206, or e-mail kyefimova@heraldnet.com.
Boat launch closes: The boat launch at Langus Riverfront Park, 400 Smith Island Rd., will be closed beginning at noon Friday through Sunday for repairs.
Boaters can use the Rotary Park launch at 3505 Lowell-Snohomish River Road.
For more information on Rotary Park, visit http://www.ci.everett.wa.us/default.aspx?ID=558.
Help name the woods: When the Whidbey Camano Land Trust announced it had sealed the deal to buy the former Trillium woods, the nonprofit organization also launched a contest to give the community forest a new name.
To propose a name, download a form from www.wclt.org/rename.pdf or come to the Whidbey Camano Land Trust office in Barn C at the Greenbank Farm (765 Wonn Road in Greenbank). Submit the form by Nov. 15.
More information about the forest is available at www.wclt.org.
