Clean for Earth Day

Clean up Monroe streets to celebrate Earth Day. The event is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Currie View Park at 154th Street SE and 173rd Avenue SE in Monroe.

They need volunteers to pick up trash and recyclables. Organizers will provide garbage bags, snacks and bottled water.

Bring a pair of gloves and wear comfortable walking shoes. After the trash is collected, there’s weeding to do at the Julia Morris Centennial Garden, 816 Village Way in Monroe.

All food grown in the garden is donated to the Sky Valley Food Bank next door.

Bring garden tools and leftover vegetable seeds.

Reardon hosts discussion: Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon is planning to host the county’s fifth annual Agriculture Roundtable.

The event is planned for 10 a.m. Monday at the Robert J. Drewel Building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave. in Everett.

The program aims to bring together agricultural organizations, government agencies and farming-related nonprofits.

Mukilteo nature walk: Join the Japanese Gulch Youth and Mukilteo Wildlife Habitat Team for a nature walk and talk at 2 p.m. Friday at 1201 Mukilteo Lane in Mukilteo.
