Prep baseball: Glacier Peak 9, Mountlake Terrace 8

EVERETT — Led by a balanced offense in which five players contributed extra-base hits, Glacier Peak won the loser-out 3A District 1 playoff game to advance to state. Ryan Freeman batted 2-for-3 with a double and Dylan Caneza had two hits, including a triple for the Grizzlies. Junior Chris Hall batted 3-for-3 with two doubles for Mountlake Terrace. Glacier Peak plays in the Centralia regional at 1 p.m. Saturday.
