Prep football: Shorewood 46, Marysville Getchell 27

MARYSVILLE — For the first time in the first season of the Marysville Getchell football team, the Chargers were tied in the fourth quarter, but Shorewood broke the game open with three late touchdowns to run away with a 46-27 triumph. Eugene Holley had the biggest day for the Thunderbirds (2-3 league, 2-3 overall) rushing 38 times for 283 yards and four trips into the endzone.
Cullen Zackuse led the way on the ground for MG with 144 yards on 27 carries. Chargers QB was 17-for-26 for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Kaleb Seymer caught six of those Diedrich passes for 116 yards.
