Man found dead in Gold Bar apparently hit by train

GOLD BAR — A man was found dead Wednesday in the Gold Bar area after apparently being struck by a train.

His body was found just before 5:30 p.m. near the 38300 block of U.S. 2, officials said. It wasn’t immediately clear when the man was hit.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office was investigating.

Additional details were not available late Wednesday night.
