Ways to Give

The Herald’s annual Ways to Give feature is scheduled to run in the newspaper Nov. 13.

Ways to Give provides our readers with information about the nonprofit, charitable groups in Snohomish and Island counties that depend on donations and volunteers to provide services during the holiday season.

To be listed in Ways to Give, please send us the name of your organization, what services you provide, hours, address, a phone number to be included in the listing, a phone number for confirmation, and what items, services or volunteer help you need.

Tell us about Veterans Day events: Let us know about events planned for Veterans Day. Is your group planning a ceremony, dinner or honoring a particular veteran?

Learn about college: Parents and students wanting to learn how to eliminate cost as a barrier for college are invited to a meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Monroe Library, 1070 Village Way in Monroe.

Charlie Hoff, who worked as a college admissions official, will offer his suggestions on how to obtain admissions to the most competitive colleges and obtain the most attractive financial packages.

If you have a student in the eighth, ninth or 10th grade, this session could helpful about making college plans.
