PORTLAND — Mayors and police from Oregon, Washington and Vancouver, B.C., met Tuesday in Portland and pledged to cooperate in fighting drug, gun and sex trafficking crimes that use Interstate 5.
The Oregonian reports they agreed to share crime information and consider joint crime-fighting operations to address regional problems such as gangs.
About 60 people attended the meeting representing Portland, Seattle and other cities in Oregon and Washington. Another I-5 corridor meeting will be held next spring in Seattle.
