Rising band Pickwick surprises students at UW library

Pickwick has been making a lot of noise around Seattle lately. The band has built an impressive resume in the last few months performing three times this year’s Bumbershoot and headlining a sold-out show at The Croc during last month’s City Arts Fest.

Most recently though, Pickwick surprised some UW students who were studying in the reading room at the Suzzallo Library with an a cappella version of their song “Blackout” and they made sure to film it.

This is one of the cooler things I’ve seen a band do and lead singer Galen Disston sounds absolutely amazing. The students didn’t seem to mind their study session being interrupted as they quickly pulled out their phones and cameras in an attempt to capture this unexpected treat.

The video is posted below. Pickwick is playing a show in Seattle on December 8th. For more info about that show click here.
