Gold Bar water safe to drink without boiling

GOLD BAR — Residents of Gold Bar have been told the water is safe to drink without boiling.

The state Health Department says tests results came back Friday satisfactory.

A water main break on Wednesday night — apparently caused by a tree root — left Gold Bar dry on Thanksgiving.

Residents had been advised to boil drinking water as a precaution after repairs were made and the lines were flushed.

Gold Bar provides drinking water to about 2,200 residents.
