Help wanted
Eeny, meeny, miney, moe: Gold Bar, the east Snohomish County town of 2,000, has tried for three months to fill a vacancy on its five-member town council. Notices and newspaper ads have failed to draw any candidates. Now the town is asking for the county’s help in finding a new official.
The position will be awarded to the last Gold Bar resident who files a notarized statement with the county declaring, “Not it!”

With six you get eggroll: Chinese restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s is being acquired by a private equity firm, Centerbridge Partners, for $1.09 billion dollars, which intends to take the company private by offering $51.50 for each share of stock.
But just 20 minutes after acquiring P.F. Chang’s, Centerbridge announced that it was still hungry and was looking for another restaurant chain to buy.

The only problem arose when children at the birthday party began arguing over whose turn it was take a shot at the bear with the tranquilizer gun.
