Housing beats the alternative

In response to the letter about apodments, “Most are so tiny it’s hazardous”: I suggest the say “cheese” and take a picture of himself. Anyone can complain, but unless one has a solution to the problem, should possibly keep the comments to oneself. Is it possible that if someone was sleeping on the street, under a bridge, or even, if lucky, in a tent (on the ground), that the apodment would be a better solution, albeit it is not spacious as one would like, but clean and warm?

This would give a modicum of safety, a roof over one’s head, indoor facilities for cleanliness and hygiene, and a step up from their previous lifestyle. As the writer states that this is a temporary living arrangement and short-term leases, surely he would have to agree that it would and/or is preferable to the alternative.
