SUNNYSIDE — The Washington State Migrant Council recently changed its name to Inspire Development Centers.
The CEO, Tadeo Saenz-Thompson, told the Yakima Herald-Republic the name reflects the organization’s changing mission. Originally founded 30 years ago to address the health and educational needs of migrant families, it now offers services to diverse low-income people. Centers administer Head Start and nutritional programs for preschool children and programs from expectant mothers.
There are 23 offices around Washington with a total of about 600 employees. Administrative offices are in Sunnyside.
