Arlington concert raises money for Crohn’s and colitis

ARLINGTON — A night of live rock music, auctions and raffles is raising money for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
The third annual Rocking Crohn’s Live Music Benefit starts at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Mirkwood and Shire Cafe, 117 E. Division St. Four bands are scheduled to perform and all ages are welcome until midnight, according to event coordinator Rebekah Greenbaum Kendall.
Performers include Seattle rocker Jason Kertson, Irish singer JP Hennessy, Seattle band Buckets of Rain and the Darrington group Ragged Edge.
The concert costs $10 per person and proceeds go the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to help research treatments for inflammatory bowel diseases.
Along with the concert, more than $2,500 worth of donated items and services will be raffled or auctioned off throughout the night. Prizes include a new Fender Squire Stratocaster, a Blackstar Fly mini amp, autographed posters, concert tickets and a tour of London Bridge Studios in Shoreline.
