Marysville hires new Community Development Director

Marysville has hired Dave Koenig as its new community development director. Koenig was previously the manager of Everett’s Long Range Planning and Community Development division where he oversaw several major projects, including Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Xfinity Arena, the Riverfront development, Everett Station, Everett Community College/WSU expansion, and the Port of Everett’s Waterfront project.

The role of community development director had been filled by the city’s chief administrative officer Gloria Hirashima doing double duty, said city spokeswoman Bronlea Mishler. With Koenig’s hiring, the position will now be full-time. Koenig started July 16.
