Hiker, 24, dies in fall on Mount Pilchuck

VERLOT — A 24-year-old Snohomish man died while hiking on Mount Pilchuck east of Verlot.
The man’s body was recovered late Wednesday morning by the Snohomish County search and rescue team. He was reported missing from his hiking group on Tuesday.
Officials believe he fell about 400 feet from the area of the lookout. The man’s name has not been made public.
